The Tanasse House was completed in 2008. Its sleek, modern design was created with two client requirements in mind: Minimal maintenance and maximum access to the Hood Canal waterfront views and recreation.
- The exterior is sided with Hardi-plank fiber cement products and galvanized metal panels.
- The roof is also galvanized metal.
- Large decks are finished with Trex decking, cedar and galvanized wire fence panel rail systems.
- The water-side wall is 90% glass, with a engineered foundation and steel I-beam framing system.
- All other framing is done in advanced framing and engineered wood systems.
- The main floor is a stained 2" concrete slab, with radiant heat/in-floor design.
- Both the radiant floor and potable household water are served by propane fired, on-demand water heaters.
- The insulation package is a blend of polyurethane spray foam in the floor and walls, and rigid insulation sandwiched between the roof deck and the metal roof panels.
