The Faltys-Burr House, built in 1988, was specifically designed to minimize its footprint on the property: It boasts a spare-sounding, but remarkably roomy 30’X30’ natural light, 1st floor / basement, with a total of 3 floors equaling 2300 square feet.
- The house is framed using advance framing techniques: 24”O.C. wall framing, insulated headers, and raised heal trusses.
- Insulation was blown in.
- The interior has reclaimed flooring and millwork, low VOC finishes, wood or tile floors, and plaster wall finish.
- The wood stove was the highest rated for emission standards at the time and is capable of easily heating the entire house.
- Electric radiant heat panels were installed within the main floor joist cavity, eliminating the need for forced air furnace and ducting.
